Carolina Prison Ministries
Volunteer Policy
Purpose
Our mission is to share the love of Jesus Christ with those impacted by incarceration through encouragement, discipleship, and outreach.
Our Foundation
Carolina Prison Ministries operates from a Seventh-day Adventist biblical foundation. We are committed to presenting a consistent, Christ-centered message rooted in Scripture.
Who Can Serve
We welcome volunteers from all Christian backgrounds who have a heart to serve, encourage, and uplift others in a spirit of humility and unity.
Areas of Service
Volunteers may serve in:
- Prayer Team
- Letter Writing
- Administrative Support
- Outreach Support
- Prison Visits (as approved and scheduled)
Unity in Message
All volunteer activity represents Carolina Prison Ministries as a whole.
To maintain clarity and unity:
- Communication should be Christ-centered, encouraging, and biblically grounded
- Volunteers should avoid doctrinal debates or controversial topics
- Teaching roles or leading Bible studies will be guided and approved by ministry leadership
Communication Guidelines
When interacting with inmates, families, or the public:
- Show respect, compassion, and confidentiality
- Do not present personal opinions as ministry doctrine
- Stay aligned with the mission and tone of the ministry
Leadership & Oversight
Certain roles (such as teaching, leading studies, or representing the ministry publicly) may require additional guidance or approval to ensure consistency in message and mission.
Our Heart
We are not here to argue—we are here to restore, encourage, and point people to Jesus Christ.
